Somali Week is an annual event that showcases the best of Somali arts culture, both old and new. The 2018 Somali Week brought together 12 local, interstate and international teams, all playing for the chance to be crowned Oceania Somali Week Champions.
The 2018 festival began on the 22nd and concluded on the 30th December was packed with fun filled activities for families and kids to enjoy, including international performers, market stalls, family friendly activities and carnival rides.
The annual Oceania Somali Week Soccer tournament and community festival is organised, managed and facilitated by Somalis for Somalis. All our volunteers are enthusiastic young Somali-Australians who are active citizens and who wish to make a difference and inspire future generations. We wish to also acknowledge the tireless efforts of many of our non-Somali brothers and sisters who give their time and energy in making this event possible every year.
